Home Visits – From the comfort your own home, you will connect with our Client Services Coordinator who will assess eligibility for Meals on Wheels, ensuring every client receives not just a meal, but also valuable insights into additional programs that could enhance their well-being.

Information and Referrals – Beyond the doorstep, our coordinator serves as a beacon of knowledge, guiding older adults to a myriad of community resources. Whether it’s services within our Center or connections to vital resources across the county and state, we’re here to ensure every individual finds the support they need. For eligible clients in the Canby School District, our connection to the Transportation Reaching People Program (TRP) of Clackamas County opens doors to essential mobility options.

Energy Assistance – When financial challenges arise, our Client Services team is equipped to navigate the complexities of low-income energy assistance programs, offering a helping hand when it’s needed most.

TRP (Transportation Reaching People): Managed by our client services coordinator, TRP serves clients within the Canby School District area. This program provides rides to qualified appointments in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties. Contact us to see if your trip qualifies for a TRP driver. Please note, this volunteer-based service requires a minimum of 5 to 7 business days’ notice and operates based on volunteer availability, ensuring reliable transport beyond Canby.

Legal Assistance – Need legal guidance? Mark your calendar for our monthly legal consultations right here at the Center. Every second Wednesday, an attorney is available for a complimentary 30-minute session. Call 503 266 2970 to schedule your appointment.

Other Resources

SHIBA (Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance) assists older adults with questions about their health insurance. The SHIBA Program uses certified volunteer counselors to help people who are on Medicare, or who are about to enroll in Medicare, make informed health insurance decisions. Aging and Disability Resource Connection of Oregon – ADRC – The Aging and Disability Resource Connection, or ADRC is a free service that can connect you with help paying for long-term care. ADRC’s are the entryway to publicly funded long-term care programs. The Resource Connection helps assess your level of need for services and ensures that you are eligible. Low Cost Housing Clackamas County – Visit  ADRC — Aging and Disability Resource Connection of Oregon to view a list of low cost housing programs run by private landlords offering lower than standard market rental rates. Clackamas County Low Income Energy Assistance– You may be eligible for help with your power bill. You don’t have to have a past-due notice. You may be eligible even if you pay your bill every month. Assistance is available for a variety of energy needs. No walk ins- please call  503-650-5640. When you call, please listen to the menu options and choose the one that is most appropriate for you.
